Drain Cleaning vs Hydro Jetting: Which Fits Your Clog?
When cable drain cleaning is enough, when hydro jetting is the next step, and why camera inspection matters for recurring Orange County backups.
When drain cleaning is enough
Cable drain cleaning can restore flow when the obstruction is localized and the pipe wall is in reasonable condition. Kitchen traps, branch lines, and some main line clogs open with the right cable and access.
If only one fixture is affected and the line has not clogged repeatedly, cleaning may resolve the problem without further work.
When hydro jetting is the next step
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour grease, roots, and scale from the pipe interior. It is often appropriate when backups return after snaking or when inspection shows buildup coating the wall.
Jetters N' Drains selects nozzle type and pressure based on pipe material and condition found on camera, not assumed from the neighborhood.
Why inspection matters
Recurring clogs often mean debris remains inside the pipe or the pipe itself is damaged. Camera inspection shows which condition you are dealing with before you authorize jetting, descaling, or repair.
If structural damage is present, cleaning alone will not fix the line. The inspection should drive whether lining or replacement is needed.
